The domestic air company, Air Caledonie flies to the different islands and proposes several flights per day. The Air Caledonie fleet comprises 3 ATR 72-500 planes – its largest plane has 68 seats and the smaller ATR 42-500 plane has 48 seats.
Magenta airport proposes flights to:
- Isle of Pines/ Moue airport
- Ouvea /Ouloup airport
- Lifou / Whanawam airport
- Mare / la Roche airport.
Flights are also available to go up North:
- Kone
- Touho
- Koumac.
For all reservations an ID card is compulsory or a passport for non-residents. You should check in with your ID card/passport and ticket 1 hour before takeoff. The baggage allowance is the following according to your ticket type and price: (ticket validity: 364 days).
Ticket Y
- 5 kg take-on hand luggage
- 12 kg hold luggage per adult
- 6 kg hold luggage per child (2 – 11 years old).
Ticket W (for day trips only (day return)
- 5 kg take-on hand luggage
- 12 kg hold luggage per adult
- 6 kg hold luggage per child (2 – 11 years old).
Ticket YXB
- 5 kg take-on hand luggage
- 20 kg hold luggage per adult
- 14 kg hold luggage per child (2 – 11 years old).
There will be ticket cancellation or modification charges if changes are made less than 48 hours before departure. The charges apply per flight segment and per passenger.
